Religious School
The goal of our Religious School Program is to instill in our children a
love for Judaism and an appreciation of the values and ideals of our Jewish
heritage.
The Religious School meets on Sunday mornings from 10:00 to noon from
September to May. Most of our teachers have been teaching for many years and
are respected for their educational background and teaching experience.
- Religious school commences with pre-school classes and continues up to
8th grade Hebrew and Judaic studies.
- Bar/Bat Mitzvah Classes - In addition to a group class, each student is
given personal training by Rabbi David White. This includes a B'nai
Mitzvah Family Seminar to prepare the entire family for their special day.
- Summer Camp – A high percentage of our children attend summer camp at
CBI.
Adult Education
B'nai Israel is committed to the principle that education is a continuous and
life- long activity. Programs and courses of study have been and continue to
be developed for our adult members.
Our adult education program includes classes such as:
- Hebrew Reading
- Adult B'nai Mitzvah
- Torah Study
- Shmooze with the Rabbi
- Introduction to Judaism
- Havdalah/Movie Nights
- Summer Sundays
- Trip to Israel
Pre-K
B’nai Israel is offering a PreK/K Sunday School class tuition-free. It
is open to all those interested. Synagogue membership is not required. We
need at least 4 children for this to be a viable program.
